  • Stephen Lawrence and Alex Reid, who have performed in CCSO’s percussion section for the last thirteen years, will talk about the highlights, challenges and delights of playing in the section. They will discuss the origins of orchestral percussion, some unusual instruments, the perspective of a player in the section and the organisational complications, and they will reveal how they came to become involved in the first place, all illustrated with some insider anecdotes.
